Loire Valley

After Paris, we headed to the lovely town of Blois in the Loire Valley to see some Chateaux.

Whilst we visited Chambord and Chenencou, our favourite places were actually the visit to the town of Blois, and the slightly lesser known chateau of Chaumont sur Loire.

Chambord is reputed to be the most beautiful of all the Loire Valley chateaux. We don’t quite agree! It is huge and impressive, but lacks the beauty of the other two we visited.
