After Lyon, we headed out to rural France to the pretty little town of St Emilion.

St Emilion is primarily a wine making region, but the town itself thrives on tourists. We stayed in a beautiful old farmhouse about 20 minutes out of town.

We took the opportunity to have a few days doing nothing (other than eating) whilst there, but we did visit a number of the nearby towns and villages. The ruins of Le Sauvre-Majeure abbey was one of our day trips.
